Bioinformatics Intern - OAK - BIO (Req #1166)
Integrated DNA Technologies is currently hiring for a Bioinformatics Intern in our IT divison. Responsibilities include: Participating in bioinformatics software design and development, and/or computational analysis of biological data in a heterogeneous networked computing environment. Job Qualifications: a high school diploma and currently attending one of the following preferred specialties/majors: Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Molecular Biology and Biomedical Engineering; programming experience in C/C++, Java, R, or Delphi, or scripting experience in Python, PERL, Javascript, or other languages required; excellent communication skills and the ability and desire to work effectively in a team oriented environment. Responsibilities include: Design, development and continued support of bioinformatics-related analysis tools and advanced decision and production support software used in the fields of genetic design and DNA/RNA sequence analysis, design and manufacture, with respect to software specification, programming, date requirement analysis, data flow modeling and scientific information analysis in the development of new scientific algorithms and research protocols; use of proprietary and public domain bioinformatics databases and scientific knowledge; assist in design and development of software to support the customer requirements as assigned; interact in a professional manner; create and implement functional components or integrated software modules with high scientific standards and internal guidelines; follow code development procedures and standards; cross training; code and design reviews, documentation of system and component specifications and implementation decisions; work as part of a team; help develop realistic project estimates, schedules and milestones; keep clients and development managers informed on the progress of projects. Customer Care Rep I - COR - CSC (Req #2029)
Integrated DNA Technologies is currently hiring for a full time Customer Care Representative I. Responsibilities include: Answering and documenting all incoming support calls, emails, and webchats from IDT customers; understanding and executing various process flows; and assisting customers through the ordering process; developing a thorough knowledge of IDT products and providing recommendations to customers for product usage. Qualifications include: A four-year degree in a science related field and/or experience in either a science or customer service field is preferred. Facilities Engineer - COR - FAC (Req #2027)
Integrated DNA Technologies is currently hiring for a Facilities Engineer. Responsibilities include: Working with Facilities staff to design small HVAC additions and modifications in a laboratory setting; assisting on internal plant capital projects, including scope development, estimating, budget, scheduling, change order control and project management of design, construction, commissioning and validation support; assisting in the ongoing development and implementation of ISO/14001, SOPs, data sheets and reports demonstrating continual improvements; participating in exception reporting, corrective action and change control activities; troubleshooting and performing root cause failure investigations; providing technical support to Facilities and other departments for troubleshooting, repairs and process optimization; maintaining Facilities architectural and engineering drawings and documentation; updating drawings to maintain as-built documentation; reviewing out-sourced design consultants design submittals for correctness and site specific context. Qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent; a minimum of 5 years related technical HVAC design, design review and/or project management experience, in a cGMP environment; experience with building automation, environmental monitoring and computerized maintenance management systems; knowledge of cGMP facilities and requirements; proficient in MS Office applications, MS Project, and CAD; may be required to work over 40 hours in a week; must have ability to climb ladders and complete ladder safety training; and must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Production Scientist I - COR - HPL (Req #2030)
Integrated DNA Technologies is currently hiring for a Production Scientist in our HPLC group. Responsibilities include: performing HPLC purification, desalting, quantification, and QC sampling of oligos, analyzing and interpreting quality control data, operating lab equipment used for the purification process as well as monitoring reagent and waste levels, performing hand-chemistry reactions for NHS ester labeled oligos, processing paperwork for product shipping, along with organizing and delivering final product to shipping, other duties as assigned. Production Scientist I - COR - MNP (Req #2047)
Integrated DNA Technologies is currently hiring for a Production Scientist I in our Main Production department -Responsibilities include: Operating DNA and RNA synthesizers and other instruments in the lab as needed to complete the synthesis, cleaving from solid support, deprotection/desalting, and QC sampling of oligonucleotides, following company safety procedures, and department processes and policies, performing decontamination programs on liquid handling instruments, proper waste material disposal, completing required checklists and verifications, performing laboratory shutdown, delivering and checking in products to appropriate departments, assisting other IDT departments when needed, following all guidelines and instructions, carrying out other tasks as assigned. Job Qualifications: Must have a Bachelor's degree in a science related field, have excellent computer skills, be highly organized, and able to multitask, able to work in a group or independently and interact in a professional manner with customers, employees, and all levels of management. This position requires walking/standing for 6-8 hours during a shift, lifting a maximum of 25 lbs and repetitive motion for up to 4 hours a shift. Production Technician I - COR - PTG (Req #2013)
Integrated DNA Technologies is currently hiring for a part time Production Technician I. Responsibilities include: preparing and filling columns to be used in the synthesis of Oligonucleotides; filling of disposable plastics, printing, and affixing various labels as needed, preparing and shrink wrapping reagent bottles, assisting with X96 support loading processes as well as cleaning and frit insertion processes for X96 plates, assisting with gel pouring and box building, using Epicor inventory system, while following work instructions, other duties as assigned. Qualifications include: a high school diploma and enrollment at a higher education institution; the ability to multitask, carry out repetitious duties and interact in a professional manner and work in a group or independently; must have good computer skills and be detail oriented. Responsibilities include: Preparing and filling columns to be used in the synthesis of oligos; filling of disposable plastics such as pipette tips; prepare reagent bottles for the Chemistry Processing group; printing all labels that are needed for column and reagent bottle preparation; assisting with X96 support loading processes as needed; affixing labels obtained from a Zebra printer to columns, for use in the synthesis of oligos; assisting Materials Chemistry department with glass plate silanization and powder sieving; assisting PAGE department with gel pouring and box building; performing the cleaning and frit insertion processes for the X96 plates; performing the cleaning and restocking of used mat caps; using Epicor inventory system to track usages of materials; following all work instructions pertaining to processes; reporting any problems to Manager; assisting with special column filling projects; maintaining current inventory counts within the department; maintaining current and correct documentation within Pilgrim; prioritizing tasks for part time employees and ensuring high priority tasks are completed in a timely manner. Qualifications include: Must have a high school diploma, some science coursework preferred; excellent computer skills; ability to multitask; detail oriented and have the ability to carry out repetitious tasks; ability to interact in a professional manner with customers, employees, and all levels of management; ability to work as a group or independently; & must be able to intermittently lift up to 30 pounds.
